From workshop to iconic real estate office
Situated on the Main Road through Havelock, at the gateway to the Kenepuru Sound, this project involved transforming what was previously a rundown workshop with a high canopy over (at right) into an office worthy of the world's largest real estate company, Century21.
By positioning wall panels to hide existing steel poles and installing a lowered ceiling under the canopy that cantilevers out to form a flat roofed verandah around the 3 visible sides of the canopy, and extending a parapet up beyond the level of the existing roof, the whole aesthetic of this building has been changed into a thoroughly modern landmark in the small town of Havelock.
